Privacy & Cookie Policy

Privacy Policy

I am committed to ensuring that any personal data we hold about you is protected in accordance with data protection laws and is used in line with your expectations.  This privacy notice explains what personal data I collect, why I collect it, how I use it and how I protect it.

I am a registered data controller with the Information Comissioner’s Office under ZA384766.

I Victoria Mowlavi are the nominated representative for the purpose of this Act.

Information I collect from you

I will collect and process the following categories of data about you:

  • Information you give me. This is information about you that you give to me by filling in forms on the website (Site), interacting with the Site or by corresponding with me by phone, e-mail or otherwise.  It includes information you provide when you make an enquiry about my services.

The information you give me will include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number also any information about your health that may act as a contraindication for the treatment.

  • Information I collect about you. This is information that we collect automatically about your visit during your time on the Site.  It typically involves technical information and is often collected using small data files called “cookies”.  This information helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse the Site and also to indicate where the Site requires improvement.

Social Media Platforms

I operate social media platforms. These platforms are, in most cases, operated outside of the EU and do not comply with current Data Privacy Act and subsequent GDPR provision although they may well conform to the U.S Privacy Shield protocol.

It is my process and protocol that any personally identifiable data gathered on these platforms is only in response to users interacting out of their own volition with our marketing pages. The contact is deemed as a legitimate business enquiry. The personal contact data is removed from the site once the enquiry is processed or the user has requested so.

Analytics

My website uses Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our website. We anonymise this data at the point of collection and automatically delete user and event data that is older than two years.

Uses made of the information

I try hard to send only a minimal amount of communication out and when I do, I like to think that it could be worth your time to glance as it as it may trigger an idea for a gift or to remind you to take some well-deserved time out.

My client list is varied, and thus, the level of detail that I hold is reflective of that. I don’t tend to send out ongoing communications about the services I offer, more allow my clients to get in touch with me. Therefore, the data that I hold is purely to ensure I know who my regular clients are when they do get in touch and what they have requested from me in the past.

As a reminder, for all clients, I currently hold:

  • Your home address
  • Your name
  • Your e-mail and/or telephone number

I use this:

1) To keep an accurate log of previous requests and have a familiarity with those getting in touch with me.

2) To send you information regarding products, offers and important updates like this one. (Although rare, there is the odd occasion that I reach out to my client base)

What I do not do is:

  • Sell your contact data
  • Pass on any 3rd party details without your written consent

How I protect your data

I protect unauthorised access to your personal data and prevent it from being lost, accidentally destroyed, misused, or disclosed by:

  • Keeping all written paper files and personal data locked away in a filing cabinet
  • All electronic data held on the laptop is kept secure by password protected files and only using a secure internet connection.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request the access, amend or correct your personal data
  • Request that inaccurate or incomplete information about you is rectified
  • Request the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal information
  • Request the deletion or removal of your information where there is no further reason for us to use it
  • Restrict the use of your information

If you would wish to exercise these rights at any time or if you have any questions, comments or concerns about this privacy notice, or how I handle your data please contact myself Victoria Mowlavi.
